I have some of these same 12V to ATX adpaters.
You will need a 12V output adapter, with enough current to supply your motherboard and PCIe/USB/DiskDrives/etc. TOTAL power need - at least 3A (36W), maybe as much as 6A if you will attach many peripherals/hard drives.

These 12V ito ATX PSU units pass the +12V DIRECTLY thru to the motherboard (and thus the HardDrives/DVD Burners/RS-232 ports, etc.), and these would NOT work with anything outside +/- 10% variation - maybe 11.4V to 13.2V would be usable, but not much more.
Any reasonable quality +12V adapter with sufficient power output should power these fine..
