Do these self-warming beds/pads make noise?
All K&H self-warming beds/pads are made from the same self-warming material that makes a slight crinkle noise. However, since all products have a different style/fabric, the noise may be less apparent in particular styles.
How does the self-warming technology work?
K&H's heat-reflecting technology (similar to Mylar space blankets) captures and radiates your pet’s own body heat. No electricity is required.
Can I wash the cover of the heated bed?
Yes, our K&H beds/pads feature either removable/washable cover or the entire bed can be washed depending on the model. Please reference item level description for details.
Can i use my human heating pad for my pet?
No. Human heating pads are not designed for pets, they are too warm. Cat and dogs have a temperature of between 100-102°F, so heated pet beds should not get warmer than about 104°F as higher temperatures can cause serious injuries.
