Why is this so cheap?

Because it has been replaced with the 2022 model, with a 12th gen i5 and a 2880x1800 OLED screen for twice this $

Screen - Matte/anti-glare or Glossy?

Not as Matte as my Dell monitors. More like my surface pro 7, Maybe a medium matte

8Gb memory is NOT up-gradeable Buy the 16Gb version or different laptop

Does this unit have a fan?

Yes, it has a fan, but it won't come on very often. You work it hard and the fan will come on. I have watched movies and some lite gaming in POGO.The fan has not come on, yet. The fan came on for brief bursts when I was shopping with numerous tabs open.
