Important: Additional 4-Pin CPU Power Required

Most Dell motherboards compatible with this adapter (including OptiPlex 3020/7020/9020) require a separate 4-pin CPU power connection in addition to the main 8-pin motherboard power. This adapter only converts the main 24-pin power you must also connect a CPU 4-pin or 4+4 pin cable from your standard ATX power supply directly to the 4-pin CPU power header on your Dell motherboard.

If your power supply does not have a CPU 4-pin cable (or only has an 8-pin CPU cable), you may need to purchase a CPU 8-pin to CPU 4-pin adapter cable separately.
