Are these meant for 16-pin graphics cards, or are they two separate 8=pin connectors, which can be placed on separate graphics cards?

Enter an answer to this question.They arent necessarily for 16-pin graphic cards. they are two separate 8-pin graphic card with an option to take 2 pins out, making that a 8+6+2 pin. Now, if you are trying to do one Strimer Plus to two graphic cards, it is impossible as both 8-pin adapters are really close together and does not have the required length to plug into two graphic cards. If you have two graphic cards like I do, you are out of luck as the strimer controller only supports one 24-pin motherboard and one 8+6+2-pin Graphic Card.  The Strimer Controller only comes with the 24-pin motherboard while the 8-pin Graphic Card does not.

I see 2 different versions and I am worried ill order the wrong one. Would this one be best for my Asus ROG 3070?

You want to make sure you order the one specifically for the 30 series cards as they have three 8 pin connectors. I have this particular one and it is for dual 8 pin connectors only. I would go to Lian Lis site and get the specific model number for the 30 series then look for it on here. I also have the larger 24 pin for the mother board if you want to run both youll need the triple 8 pin for your card and the standard 24 pin for your mother board

Question 4

Will this still work when the Nvidia 3000 series video cards come out?  From the sounds of it they are switching from an 8 pin plug to a 12 pin that carries more power than two 6 pins could carry.

That is just a rumor NOTHING is for sure or announced yet.  If Nvidia goes to a non-standard proprietary 12pin connector then NO it will no longer work as is out of the box.

The way the light srips/diffusers are designed however you could unclip them from the provided 6x2 connector and re-attach them onto a  special 12pin connector (may need some hot glue to hide the extra wire girth (glued behind the strips out of sight).

I would still recommend these as they look AMAZING and are easy to sync to Aura and other RGB programs.

How is the length? Don't need an extension do you?

The length is fine. This item is an extension so honestly, you end up with too much cable unless you order like custom 8 and 24 pin cables.

Is it possible to control the RGB software through RAZER?

As of right now, no. It must be controlled through your motherboard software

is there a way to set this up for 3x8pin?

Not really. If I was getting one of the new 3080's I would probably go to cablemod and order a single white 8pin to 8pin connector plug that in along with the 2 LianLi RGB cables.
