This is a **Bluetooth 5.0 DAC (Digital to Analog Audio Converter)** with multiple functions: 1. **Digital audio decoding**: It converts digital audio signals from optical Toslink or coaxial SPDIF input into analog audio. 2. **Bluetooth audio receiver**: Pair your phone, laptop or tablet over Bluetooth 5.0, then output the music as analog audio. 3. **Analog output**: Send the converted sound out via the 3.5mm AUX jack (can connect to amplifiers, speakers, headsets, or a 2-RCA cable for older audio gear). In short: It lets you add Bluetooth streaming to old amplifiers/speakers, and also lets TVs/set-top boxes with optical/coaxial digital audio ports connect to analog-only audio systems.
