The Corning RST-000 is a precision fiber optic ribbon splitting tool for cable preparation and splicing. Nine positions handle ribbons from 4 to 36 fibers, dividing the matrix into smaller fiber groups. It supports mid-span and end access with a bidirectional sliding mechanism.
Split configurations: 2/2, 2/4, 2/6, 4/4, 2/10, 4/8, 6/6, 12/12 and 12/24. Follow Corning procedure 004-098 for ribbon orientation and handling. Clean the tool before use and after each 0.5 m (20 in) of splitting to remove matrix debris. Handle carefully to preserve alignment.
