The RackSolutions 1U Tool-Less Blanking Panel closes a single rack unit of open space so cold supply air is not pulled straight through the rack and mixed with hot exhaust. Recirculation of that kind raises inlet temperatures and pushes power usage effectiveness in the wrong direction. The panel installs by hand with no tools, which is what makes filling gaps practical rather than a job that gets postponed as equipment comes and goes. Note that the tool-less mechanism works in square hole racks only; screw-fit versions are available for round and threaded hole racks.
