The RackSolutions 8U Open Frame 2Post Desktop Rack is the low-cost way to get shallow EIA 19in equipment off a desk and into a proper rack. The open frame gives full ventilation and leaves every side of the equipment reachable, which is what makes it practical in a small office or a network closet where there is no room to walk around a cabinet. It is built from 14 gauge steel and carries up to 150 lbs, yet stays light enough for one person to move when the room gets rearranged. Universal square mounting holes accept a wide range of switches, patch panels and compact AV devices, and 20 screws with 20 cage nuts in 12-24 thread are included so the first install needs nothing else.
Cable tie-down points along the uprights keep patch leads dressed, and rubber feet stop the rack travelling across a bench.
