The RackSolutions 2U Rackmount Box gives a rack somewhere to put the equipment guides, hand tools, patch cables and drives that otherwise end up on top of the cabinet. It is 14in deep and carries up to 100 lbs, 45 kg. The front is open rather than doored, which means contents are reached in a single movement, and it suits racks in secure rooms where a lock adds nothing. Rear access holes allow cables to be routed to anything stored inside. It fits standard EIA 19in racks in both 2Post and 4Post configurations.
In racks with 30in of depth or more, two boxes can be installed back to back in the same rack units, which doubles the storage without costing extra U space.
