RocketRAID 840A is a 16-port SATA array card that can connect 16 SATA hard disks to form a high-performance RAID array. It uses PCIe 3.0 host interface and 4 SFF-8643 data transmission interfaces. Each SFF-8643 can connect 4 6Gb/s SATA hard disks and 16 HDD or SSD hard disks, providing excellent transmission performance of up to 6000MB/s. HighPoint has had an enterprising array technology R&D team for 20 years, providing users with professional and reliable disk array products and management software. RocketRAID 840A array card is economical and practical, and can meet many high-performance and large-capacity storage needs.
PCIe 3.0 transmission bandwidth
RocketRAID 840A array card can fully utilize the high-speed transmission performance of PCIe 3.0. Each PCIe channel can support 8GT high-speed bandwidth per second. PCIe 3.0 is perfect for high-speed SSDs, and a RAID 5 configuration consisting of multiple SSDs can reach performance of over 6, 000MB/s!
Professional-grade array solutions
The RocketRAID 840A array card leverages HighPoint's 20 years of expertise in the array and storage industry to provide professional-grade data storage solutions at a lower cost than traditional array solutions. The RR840A has our industry-recognized array technology, excellent PCI-Express Gen3 bandwidth, up to 16 dedicated SATA 6Gb/s channels, and can support RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and JBOD composed of any hard drive format, including 512, 512e and 4Kn. The RocketRAID 840A array card can effectively utilize capacity and improve array storage performance. Advanced storage and disk array recovery solutions can enhance data recovery from failed drives and simplify the rebuild process.
The universal RocketRAID WebGUI interface provides users with monitoring and maintenance functions, allowing administrators to easily schedule data verification periods to ensure the health of each disk array.
