FAQ and Tips
- IT DOES NOT FIT MY WINDOW? Answer: If your window measurement is between 25.26” to 26.89” it will not fit. Based on “2 Bars”, it will fit 14.25” to 24.25”, on “3 Bars” or with an extension bar it will fit 26.9” to 37”. The 1.0” high x ¾” wide spacer can be used as needed to give the bar one additional inch in length or used on a 3/4” narrow window frame.
- WHAT IF MY WINDOW FRAME IS NARROWER THAN 1inch? Answer: Please use the included ¾” spacer for the window that is narrower than 1.0” wide.
- WHERE SHOULD THE BAR BE INSTALLED IN THE WINDOW? Answer: We recommend installing the security bar mid-way on your window with the supplied mounting hardware.
- CAN I SET MY SECURITY BAR ON THE WINDOW RAIL? Answer: Yes. The security bar can be placed on your window rail for added security without having to drill.
- WHEN USING 3 BARS, IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE STRAIGHT, HOW DO I MAKE IT STRAIGHT? Answer: When twisting in the extension bar, make sure it is twisted in securely. When you feel it is secure, give it another twist.
- HOW DO YOU LOCK THE BAR USING THE MECHANISM? Answer: Pull the bar out to extend and the locking mechanism will automatically engage when the bar is pushed in.
- I AM MISSING THE USER'S GUIDE AND ACCESSORIES? Answer: Check inside the box. The parts and guide might be stuck on the side inside of the retail box.
- NOTE: Make sure that you are careful when you drill holes and tighten the Philips flat heads into the edge of the sliding windows. You do not want them to penetrate the glass.
