Does this card required bifurcation and if so is x8x4x4 acceptable?

Hi.Thank you for your inquiry. There is no control chip on the adapter card, it just converts the motherboard PCIE slot into M.2 shape. The corresponding slot needs to be split into multiple x4 for use. If the split is not set in the BIOS, only the first M.2 hard drive on the card can be recognized.
