Our Story: One Stumble, One Curse Word, and One Solution
Hi, I'm Jack. In my first New York apartment—just 300 square feet and way too tight—Autonomier was born from a stumble and a curse word (probably more than one).
Carrying a hot coffee, I tried to step over the Mount Everest of shoes piled by the door. You can guess the rest: coffee everywhere, a messy floor. I lost it.
I realized I needed a shoe rack. The options were a joke—either bulky, big, or priced like a month's rent. Was there really no honest, affordable, space-saving option that works? So I made one.
I made it slimmer, sturdier, and lighter, using every inch of space. No tools required; under 10 minutes to assemble. I believe getting organized shouldn't be a luxury. It works for students, young families, busy parents, and renters who just want a tidy entryway.
It may not be fancy, but it’s dependable. At 7:59 a.m., when you're racing out the door, it helps you find both shoes—without cursing at a pile of footwear.
Welcome to Autonomier. From my little apartment to yours. Let's win back your space together.
