The Alphacool ES Laing DDC310 Pump - Single black plastic bottom is a DDC pump for server water cooling, 62 x 62 x 30 mm, delivered with a plastic bottom. Alphacool's ES Solution pump serves as the foundation for various 1 to 4U server solutions. It has been coupled with a simple pump base to maintain compatibility with the range of Enterprise Solution reservoirs. However, it can also be mounted on all existing DDC pump tops from Alphacool.

Compact and powerful
The unit is based around what Alphacool calls its very popular DDC pump. Its flat design, 30 mm in height, saves space and fits, with the corresponding Enterprise reservoirs, starting from chassis as small as a 1U server rack. Alphacool says this results in a very powerful pump that can be used in the smallest of spaces. Alphacool says the DDC310 variant offers enough power to operate an extensive water loop. According to Alphacool the performance is enough for a dual or quad socket system including reservoir and radiators. Alphacool also rates it as sufficient to run a render server with up to 4 graphics cards.
Spherical Ceramic Bearing
The pump uses a shaftless ball motor, also called a spherical bearing, and stainless steel and ceramics are among its materials. The motor is driven by magnets, while its rotor is mounted on a ball-ceramic bearing. Because that bearing is self-adjusting, the pump is maintenance-free. During operation the pump is lubricated by the coolant, which makes it a so-called wet rotor pump. Due to this design, Alphacool says, even small particles of dirt are no problem.
What the loop needs
A reservoir or pump top for the DDC, with its own mounting screws, and a free 4-pin Molex plug from the power supply.
