FAQ:

Q: Will this fit my Ford series?
This trailer wiring harness is compatible with all styles of the 2015 - 2022 Ford Transit Connect without Factory Towing Package.

Q: How Do I Know If My CAR has the Tow Package for Trailer Wiring?
The easiest way to tell if you have the tow package or not is to look for a plug on the driver's side of the rear hatch. The plug will be tucked behind the trim panel (the very back corner on the driver's side). If there is a gray connector that is open and not being used then it has the tow package. If NOT, you'll need this part for your trailer towing.

Q: Why Do I Have to Connect the Black Power Wire to Battery?
If you are towing a trailer with a bunch of lights then this may be too much for the lighting circuit on your car to handle therefore a trailer wiring harness with a powered converter is needed. Connecting the power wire to battery which won't draw any power from the vehicles lighting circuit therefore minimizing the chance of an overload.

Q: Is Splicing Required to Install Trailer Wiring Harness on My CAR?
No. Installation of this trailer wiring harness does not require any splicing into the vehicle tail light wiring. It has connectors that plug in-line with the tail light connectors on the your Ford Transit Series. A connection to the battery is required and will be what powers the trailer lights as well as part of what helps protect the Jeep's electrical system.
