Question 1

Is this compatible with the gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 1.0)?
Must I remove any/all of the three 2g chips already in?
Will I be able to / should I / upgrade the mb to rev 2.0?

Accepted Answer

"Supports 3 channel DDR3 2100+ memory" so you would only want to use 3 ram sticks at a time. in short you would not be able to use the 2g sticks you currently have with these. You generally don't want to mix ram sticks anyways.
However these are compatible with that motherboard.

Question 2

Hello, is this compatible with the Asus P6T Workstation Professional motherboard? (Yes, I am planning to use it in triple channel mode)

Accepted Answer

I cant say for 100% if it will work or not. the motherboard i have , (gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard with the same chipset as the p6t, and a Xeon x5670 processor ) has alot of compatibility issues running 1600mhz speed ram (4gb size sticks, 2gb sticks was okay). From what i had read, if you went with a slower speed, then you would have greater compatibility.

even though the mushkin was not on the official compatibility list. The 1333 speed memory worked.

I am currently running 6x of these sticks :)

Question 3

Accepted Answer
