Question 1

Can i use this is in my laptop? Is there a specification that my laptop need to have to install this?

Accepted Answer

It should be no problem as long as your laptop is SATA and not IDE. (It would have to be very old not to be.) These hard drives are actually easier to fit into a laptop because they are the same size as a standard non-SSD laptop SATA drive. It is putting them into a desktop that requires a mounting bracket adapter if your case does not include one. The laptop will of course be faster (how fast will be determined by what SATA version is on your motherboard), quieter, cooler, and have better battery life by going to a SSD drive. Be sure to read up on SSD tweaking recommendations.

Question 2

is this a good ssd in terms of performance and reliability?

Accepted Answer

Using the Physon S10 Controller, Toshiba A19 MLC's, and the build quality G.Skill is known for, there is nothing to fear with this SSD.

Question 3

Has anyone run benchmarking software to get real world performance numbers on this? The ssd userbenchmark only has one result for this drive, and it is poor @ 253 MB sequential, 29.2 MB random, and 129 MB deep que 4K.

Accepted Answer

What I know its its pretty stupid fast. One of the best drives i tested.
and i have Samsung and Sandisk ultra/pro editions.
