I have had it since Feb 16th 2014, I have used the sd/sdhc card reader USB Ports Audio/mic ports with no problems! I have this attached to a new Gigabyte 970 UD3P motherboard with a Gigabyte power supply and Crucial ballistic 8gb of memory with a samsung 250gb evo SSD Drive and 2 dvd burners without any problems so far, As far as Longevity is concerned I cannot comment, I know that the only bad card reader experiences i have ever had were do to bios settings,Windows power settings, bad cables, loose cables internal or external or plugging the cables in after booting can cause issues or not inserting the card in right, or even dust. But with this Carder reader No problems so far!
