This is ONLY the Transmitter Unit - It receives HDMI signals with stereo audio over UTP CAT5e/6 cabling up to 394ft (120 meters) away. It requires the HDMI Over IP Extender with IR - Receiver (part # CE-H23C11-S2), which is sold separately. It operates together with the Receiver Units (RX) in a Matrix over a dedicated IP network, allowing up to 256 total units, limited to 100 transmitters. Note: A dedicated unmanaged IGMP Gigabit Switch is recommended for optimal performance and reliability. It supports up to 1080p @60Hz video resolution to deliver sharp and crystal clear images. It supports computer control software to select and switch between source devices (Matrix only). It supports IR pass-back function to control the source device from the RX location. It supports Hobbit-T protocol with H.264 compression over IP. The HDMI output on the transmitter lets you monitor the HDMI signal at the source location. It provides RS-232 pass-through connection to control RS-232 enabled devices in either direction
