This HD MiniSAS fanout breakout cable converts one internal SFF8643 (MiniSAS HD) host port from your RAID or HBA controller into four separate SFF8482 29pin target interfaces, allowing you to connect up to four SAS hard drives directly inside rackmount servers and workstations. Fully compliant with SAS 3.0 specification, it delivers maximum 12Gbps perchannel transfer speed, backward compatible with 6Gbps and 3Gbps SAS/SATA drives for mixedmode storage environments.

Optimized shielded cable construction suppresses electromagnetic interference and signal crosstalk, delivering consistent reliable performance during disk array rebuilding, continuous largevolume data reading and writing, and longduration enterpriselevel operating cycles. Both SFF8643 and SFF8482 connectors come with locking latches, firmly snapping into controller and harddrive sockets to avoid intermittent drive dropoff triggered by chassis vibration, hardware maintenance or cable tugging inside server cabinets.

Neat fanout layout simplifies internal cable routing, reduces cable clutter and improves chassis airflow for better thermal management. This is forwarddirection hosttodrive cable: SFF8643 side connects to RAID/HBA host card, four SFF8482 ends connect to SAS HDD or SSD. It cannot be used in reverse direction for backplane input.
