This PCIe 4.0 x8 to OCuLink SFF-8612 expansion adapter converts a motherboard PCIe x8 slot into dual independent SFF-8612 OCuLink female ports, paired with SFF-8611 external cables to build external GPU docks and high-speed NVMe SSD enclosures. Fully compliant with PCIe Gen4 specification, it delivers total 128Gbps bandwidth split into two x4 64Gbps channels, supporting unthrottled heavy workloads like 3D gaming, 4K/8K video editing, AI model training and enterprise storage array deployment.

Different from Thunderbolt 4/USB4 external graphics solutions, this OCuLink adapter routes native PCIe lanes directly without protocol conversion overhead, retaining near-full GPU and NVMe performance with negligible signal attenuation. The PCB adopts multi-layer impedance-controlled circuitry with EMI shielding, ensuring stable 24/7 continuous operation for workstations and small datacenter nodes.

Comes with two replaceable brackets: full-height 120mm standard bracket and 90mm low-profile bracket, compatible with ATX, MATX, ITX, slim mini PC and rack server chassis. All contact pins are gold-plated for anti-oxidation and consistent conductivity; built-in locking ports prevent loose connections during equipment vibration.

Wide hardware & OS compatibility: works with all SFF-8611 OCuLink cables, external eGPU chassis, U.2 SFF-8639 NVMe SSD drive bays; supports Windows 10/11, Linux, Windows Server systems, backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 and PCIe 2.0 motherboards. Note: Motherboard PCIe bifurcation (x4x4) must be enabled in BIOS for dual-port simultaneous output. Perfect upgrade for mini PCs, laptops with PCIe expansion, compact workstations lacking internal space for large GPUs and multiple NVMe drives.
