This 50cm active OCuLink breakout cable adopts built-in signal booster circuit, solving signal loss issues of passive long-distance PCIe wiring, specially designed for OCuLink SFF-8611 8x host ports to split dual Mini SAS SFF-8087 4i storage channels.
One end is SFF-8611 80Pin male OCuLink host connector (PCIe x8 8-lane), the other fans out to two separate SFF-8087 36Pin male Mini SAS 4i terminals, which divide the x8 bandwidth into two independent x4 signal paths simultaneously. It perfectly connects OCuLink host adapters to dual SFF-8087 drive backplanes, external NVMe enclosures or eGPU expansion docks without performance throttling.
Compliant with PCIe 4.0 specification, each lane supports 16GT/s transfer rate, backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 Gen3 hardware. Unlike passive cables, the built-in active repeater stabilizes signal integrity over 0.5m transmission, maintaining full unthrottled bandwidth for 8K video rendering, AI computing and high-speed NVMe storage clusters. The cable uses 32AWG impedance-controlled twin-axial oxygen-free copper wires plus double aluminum foil braided shielding to block electromagnetic crosstalk and external interference.
All contact pins of SFF-8611 and dual SFF-8087 connectors are thick gold-plated to reduce contact resistance and resist long-term oxidation. Integrated snap latches lock both connectors tightly to avoid accidental disconnection caused by cabinet vibration or movement of external GPU docks. The black slim woven outer jacket improves flexibility for tight-space chassis wiring without blocking cooling airflow.
Only supports native PCIe signal transmission (not compatible with SAS protocol). Driver-free plug-and-play design works seamlessly with Windows 10/11, Linux and Windows Server systems. Widely applied to mini PC OCuLink eGPU expansion, rack server dual NVMe backplane breakout, compact workstation multi-drive RAID array setup and portable external high-speed storage docking stations.
