Question 1

I'm looking at buying this mouse, but I'm a little confused. What is the difference between this model and the carbon fibre  model?

Around the bottom of the mouse is replaced with real carbon fiber if you prefer the look or feel of it.  That's the only difference.  The performance of the mice are completely the same.

Is this mouse durable? I had a Logitech G-700 nine months which the button switches quit. I slammed and mouse down and that was the end of it. Life over. I can be animated sometimes. Can Carbon Fiber take punishment? Can you slow the dpi quickly for a good headshot? Do the right side buttons ever interfere with with sudden actions like an out of the corner knife melee. Obviously, most of you like the EVGA 901 so it must respond well. Do tell. I want right side buttons.

The carbon fiber mouse is quite durable as carbon fiber is some pretty intense stuff; even the plastic version does not feel cheap or fragile. Regarding the type of punishment you're talking about doling out, even though the frame is aluminum, I don't know that any single mouse would last you for the rest of your life. Happily, my cat has knocked mine about a fair bit and smacked it into the side of my desk knocking it off the pad but the switches, frame, and even the casing are still holding up.

The DPI can quickly be switched up or down as the situation warrants with the buttons behind the mouse wheel, and it round robins so if you're at the top DPI setting and click up, it will cycle back to the top DPI setting for a quick snap to precision after a twitchy firefight. You can also adjust the DPI of each individual setting, so the step between one setting and another can be as far or as fine as you like.

The right side buttons can be a little awkward to hit intentionally if you hold the mouse in your right hand because they're ideally intended to be for the left thumb, and they haven't yet interfered with any sudden actions I've needed to take so far. If you can get into the muscle-memory habit of slightly raising your hand to hit them with the ring finger, they can be very useful indeed because they are NOT tied to the function of the matching buttons on the other side of the mouse.

FYI: I think this is the non-carbon fiber mouse. The marketing picts below show it with CF but the new egg ones don't. Can anyone confirm this?

Question 4

Question about the mousewheel rotation. Is it indexed or does it freewheel spin? Can you switch between these similar to some Logitech mice? Thanks!

The mousewheel has pretty heavy, distinct notches and does not have any freespin feature. I came from a Logitech mouse (g500s) and at first I was pretty disappointed that it didn't have a free spin feature, but I found that it wasn't all that crucial to how I used the mouse. I actually like how it works for gaming because it makes it a lot easier to go a certain number of notches compared to my logitech mouse. There also isn't any tilt to the mousewheel which I was impartial to, but you may find important. 
All-in-all I love this mouse! It's amazing sensor and switches give it a great feel and it has no acceleration that I was able to notice. Definitely less that my Logitech mouse. I'm sure that you will like this mouse!

Question 5

I've looked at this mouse and am wondering if it'll be slippery with its metal build? I'm just wondering, because sometimes my hands get sweaty.

Its surface handles exactly as any other mouse I've ever used. I don't know how sweaty your hands would have to get to make this 'slippery'; but, that amount of sweat/lubricant would make any other mouse just as slippery. Metal build offers greater structural integrity, not metallic tactile sensation.
