Do these mats really work to keep animals away and off of furniture?
Well, it really depends on your pet! Some animals avoid them right away, with no training needed. Some animals can be a bit more mischievous, curious, and may see the mats as a challenge. As with any training or deterrent tool, results can vary depending on your pet’s personality, curiosity level, and consistency of use.
How to use the mats:
Simply place the mats on furniture or in areas where you don't want your pets or other animals to go. With our specially designed mats and custom connectors, you can design whatever configuration fits your needs. The uncomfortable plastic spikes discourage the animal from stepping in that area or climbing on that piece of furniture.
Why are our mats black instead of clear like other mats?
Our family has personally used the clear mats in the past to keep our dog off of our furniture. Occasionally, the mats were forgotten about on the furniture or they fell to the floor. Because they were not easy to see, we had incidents of accidentally sitting on the mats or stepping on them with bare feet. OUCH!!So, we redesigned our mats and made them black, so they're easy to see!
