CAN BUS: BIGTREETECH Octopus V 1.1 32bit control board supports CAN Bus connectivity using an ethernet connector. This CAN Bus connection allows to expand control board with other expansion boards very easily.
6 PWM Fans Plus 2: The Octopus V 1.1 Mainboard offers up to 6 controllable PWM fans and additional 2 without control with the possibility of voltage selection from 5V, 12V or 24V. The BTT Octopus also has 8 sockets for drivers, making it an ideal electronics for demanding machines.
Supports Klipper/Marlin: BIGTREETECH Direct Octopus V 1.1 32bit control board compatible with BTT Pi V 1.2 /Pi 2, supports running Klipper and Marlin, supports firmware update by USB (recommended) and DFU mode (advanced users). Updating via DFU mode is to send firmware to the board directly from PC with no need for bootloader, which is not recommended for novice users.
Type C powers the MCU: Plug the jumper cap into the 5V USB power supply port of the motherboard. You can use the Type C interface to power the motherboard, which makes it easier for the computer to program firmware. If the jumper cap is pulled out, the switching power supply must be turned on when the motherboard is connected to the PC.
