Its needles are dense and shorter than other junipers, with a low-trailing growth habit spreading 2-3 feet (6 inches tall). This easy-to-grow evergreen requires a regular water schedule to ensure the development of a mature root system. Once the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during droughts, when watering is needed regularly. Trim once or twice annually around the edges to maintain fullness in the center of the plant.
