The Juniper Networks EX3400 Fan unit delivers back-to-front airflow. It pulls the cool air into the chassis and pushes it towards the front of the chassis. It releases hot air from the front side of the chassis.
The cooling system operates with minimum noise at a moderate speed under normal circumstances. Its speed increases when the temperature sensor in the chassis detects the temperature rises.
