- This Dell CBL-QSFP-40GE-PASS-2M compatible 40G QSFP+ passive Direct Attach Copper cable gives you a low-cost, low-latency link for short 40 Gigabit Ethernet runs. The 2 meter Twinax copper assembly has QSFP+ connectors permanently terminated at both ends, so there are no optics to buy and nothing to clean or align.
- Passive DAC draws almost no power and adds far less latency than an optical link, which makes it the standard choice for top-of-rack switch to server connections, switch stacking, and storage uplinks. The extra length over a 1 meter cable gives you enough reach to cross between adjacent racks or route around a cable manager without strain on the connectors. The cable is plug and play, hot swappable, and built to 100 impedance for clean signal integrity at 40Gbps.
- It is rated for operation from 0°C to 70°C and storage from -40°C to 85°C, and meets MSA, SFF-8436 and RoHS requirements. Each cable is programmed and tested on Dell equipment before it ships.
