This Ubiquiti compatible 40G QSFP+ passive Direct Attach Copper cable is a factory terminated 2 meter link for 40 Gigabit Ethernet. The QSFP+ connectors are fixed to the Twinax copper at both ends, so there are no transceivers to buy separately and no fiber ends to clean or align.
Passive DAC uses almost no power and adds almost no latency, which makes it the standard choice for short 40G connections: high-capacity switch uplinks, aggregation links, and server or storage connections. At 2 meters you get enough reach to cross to a neighboring rack or route through cable management with slack to spare. The cable is plug and play, hot swappable, and built to 100 impedance to hold signal integrity at 40Gbps.
Operating range is 0°C to 70°C with storage from -40°C to 85°C, and the cable meets MSA, SFF-8436 and RoHS requirements. Each unit is programmed and tested for use with Ubiquiti equipment before it ships.
