Question 1

I want to transfer photos and data from 3.5 Verbatim disks that are Apple formatted to my iMac. Will this machine work with a Mac? Thanks.

Your old external Windows PC drive will work great on the Mac. Apple has built OS X Yosemite and some previous OS X releases with the ability to read from those disks just fine. If you're using such a drive and you'd like to write new data to them, you'll find you can't unless you add new software.

will this work with windows 7 and /or windows 10 ?

I have Windows 7 and it works great.  It was 'plug and play' and self loaded the software.  From there I just went to the drive and opened it.  I could pull up pictures taken in 2000 that I thought were lost forever!

I don't know anything about Windows 10 since I don't have it.
