This cable is commonly used to connect a monitor to a computer's power supply output. This free up a wall outlet and allows you to turn off both the monitor and CPU with one switch. It may also be used as an extension to increase the length of an existing standard power cable. To wok as an extension, the female connector plugs directly into the device while the male connector plugs into another standard power cord (plug into C13) to extend the length of your power cord for more flexibility. The 14AWG are our most robust cables; extra thick and heavy duty to handle connections to the beefiest power supplies. These cables are designed to carry up to a 15 amp, 250 volt load.
