About Backup Battery

It has a battery compartment but the batteries are there strictly for keeping the current time during power outages, when the power goes out, the clock switches over to battery power, but the display will go dark, no time or alarm display. For everyday use, it doesn't operate on batteries.

How to Set?

Time set: Press and hold "TIME" button on the back until“hours”flashing, and then press "+" or“-”to set the hour; and again press "TIME" button, using "+" or“-”to set the minute.
Alarm set: Press and hold "ALARM" button on the back until“hours”flashing, and then press "+" or“-”to set the hour; and again press "ALARM" button, using "+" or“-”to set the minute.

What are the functions of the alarm clock?

The large 1.5 inch Blue LED digits are bright and clear to see from across the room, and during the night the digits can be dimmed to your own personal comfort level so it does not disturb sleeping, Just touch the top of button and a night light can be adjusted.
The alarm has two different settings for Low and High volume. There is also a 10 minute snooze that can be continually pressed until the alarm switched off. Perfect for partially deaf and the hearing impaired.
In case of a power outage the battery backup will take over and time and alarm settings will be mainatained. In such circumstances the alarm will not ring at the set time.
