The Vertiv Liebert PSI5-750MT120 is a 750 VA/675W, 120V line-interactive mini-tower UPS with AVR and five outlets, suited to home offices or small offices that need battery backup and power correction for equipment within its capacity.
Recommended For
- Small-office and network-closet operators who need line-interactive backup and voltage regulation for routers, switches, and other modest IT loads during brief power interruptions.
- People running a small NAS or office server who want battery time to save work or shut equipment down cleanly; the manufacturer’s runtime table lists about 17.7 minutes at 337.5 W and 6.1 minutes at the full 675 W rating.
- Desk-based workers with a computer and monitor whose priority is saving work and staying powered through a short outage, provided their combined load stays within the UPS’s 675 W capacity.
- Small-business IT teams that want to monitor a UPS remotely and are willing to add a compatible network communication card; the unit also has USB connectivity for local monitoring.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- During a brief outage while using a desktop or office workstation, the UPS can keep connected equipment powered long enough to save open work and shut down safely; available time depends on the connected load.
- For a small NAS or server, connecting the UPS and configuring compatible shutdown software can help prevent an abrupt power loss from interrupting work or file operations; setup and compatibility should be checked first.
- In a home office or small network closet, a user can put a modem, router, and other essential network equipment on battery backup so a short power interruption is less likely to immediately cut off local connectivity; runtime depends on the total load.
- Where household or office voltage fluctuates, the line-interactive UPS can correct some power disturbances without relying on battery backup for every variation, helping keep connected equipment supplied during those conditions.
- For a small business or edge-IT setup with several connected devices, the two programmable outlet groupings can help prioritize which equipment receives backup power when the UPS is running on battery.
