This foot mimics a serged/overlock effect in that it prevents raw edges from fraying by wrapping thread around the edges.
This overcasting foot delivers a consistent and accurate overcasting stitch for serged effect using your sewing machines. Thread is locked around the edge of fabric (e. g ZZ shape), aligned with the edge, to prevent fabric from raveling.
Use this foot for beginning and end of seams in skirts or trousers, and the beginning and end of all cuttings!
The overcast foot is also known as an over-edge or over locker foot. Can give you an edging similar to that of an over locker with just about any sewing machine. It simply clips on and off to attach and your ready to go.
