HOW TO CUT
We recommend using a knife, and cutting through the tape SPECIFICALLY from the paper side of the roll, which will be facing up. (Using scissors or applying the knife to the sticky side may cause difficulty in cutting). Specifically for carpets, rugs, and runners, we recommend cutting numerous smaller sized pieces, vs longer continuous pieces, to avoid bunching and wrinkling and allow for easier application.
HOW TO APPLY
Unroll and apply the adhesive side of the tape to the underneath of the rug, pad or tile you are planning to lay and secure, leaving on the paper backing. (Alternatively you can stick the adhesive part of the tape to the surface of the floor area where carpet or tile will be laid). Note- Depending on the job, surface and what you are securing, be sure to use an adequate amount of tape for the job. Our extra long role provides and abundance of tape for use for any project from a few stairs to much larger surfaces, such as basements, full floors or garages.
HOW TO PEEL AND SECURE
When you have finished applying all the pieces, we recommend that you remove the paper backing from the pieces one at a time rather than removing the backing from all the tape at once. This will allow you to maneuver your carpet, rug, runner etc. with ease as you secure it and position it in place. Once you're satisfied with the final position, press firmly along the edges and the middle.
REMOVAL
Removal of the tape should be easy and clean and can be done by hand. Start by picking at one of the corners until you achieve a tiny piece that has lifted up. Firmly pull that piece using your hands until the full strip is removed. If one is having difficulty getting the tape up, we recommend a bit of dish soap and warm water. Using a carpet friendly adhesive removal such as goo gone will do also do the trick.
