      5Gb USB Expansion Card

The GLOTRENDS U3242C1 adds a single 20Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port to a desktop workstation through a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot, delivering up to 2000MB/s and twice the bandwidth of a 10Gbps card, so external NVMe enclosures, portable SSDs and high-speed cameras run at full speed with no bottleneck. The card uses the ASMedia ASM3242 controller, the same chip found in leading brand 20Gbps adapters, with an upstream PCIe 3.0 x4 link of about 4GB/s to keep headroom above the port. It supplies up to 15W so NVMe enclosures, portable SSDs and industrial cameras are powered directly from the card, with no external adapter or extra power cable. High-frequency ceramic and solid-state capacitors keep transfers error-free during sustained 4K and 8K video editing, large media backups and data recovery work. Windows 8/10/11, Linux and macOS are supported with UASP, and both standard and low-profile brackets are included. This is a data-only card: it does not support DisplayPort Alt Mode video output, USB Power Delivery or Thunderbolt devices.
