Features:

Installation
The only correct way to connect this CPU power cable is PSU 8Pin plug into power supply side and CPU 8Pin (4+4Pin) plug into motherboard. It could be used as 8Pin or 4Pin by sliding on/off 4Pin connectors.

A 1: No, although the CPU interface in the power panel is shared with the PCIE interface.
Q 2: Does it work with other brands of module power supplies?
A 2: No, it only compatible with Corsair AX1200 modular power. Not work with other powers.
