PSU 8Pin plug into power supply side. (8Pin male connector is ATX 8 pin, not pci-e 8 pin. )
CPU 8Pin (4+4Pin) plug into M/B side. (EPS 4+4Pin used as 8Pin or 4Pin by sliding on/off the 4Pin. )

A 1: No, although the CPU interface in the power panel is shared with the PCIE interface.
