The TP-DCDC-1248D Series of DC to DC converters offers a cost-effective, reliable method to derive 48VDC Power over Ethernet voltage from a 12V or 24V battery system. It incorporates an integrated PoE injector to deliver 48VDC to a CAT5/6 Ethernet cable. The unit delivers a regulated 48VDC output from an input voltage range of 9VDC to 36VDC. It contains two common (-) and two (+) terminals for linking two power sources, for instance a primary source and a backup. Multiple safeguards are included against surge, short circuit, and overload. Data input is received through a shielded RJ45 jack, while data output and PoE power are supplied via the shielded RJ45 output jack. It functions by providing power on the unused Ethernet pins 4, 5 (V+) and 7, 8 (V-). Typical applications encompass 12V / 24V battery systems, wireless access points and client devices, IP phone systems, and security camera systems
