BK1313B cash drawer is made of steel for strength and durability. Black powder-coated finish on the case resists wear and corrosion.
The cash drawer connects to the receipt printer with a standared 6-pin RJ11 cable ( Length: 39.37 inch ) provided. A latch releases the drawer when opened and keeps it securely shut when closed.

How does it work for pos system?
This is a Printer Driven cash drawer, so it's connected to receipt printer by rj11 interface( (looks like a telephone cord) ), not pos system or computer directly.
1. Your application(pos system) on computer or iPad sends the correct command to the printer that tells it to open the cash drawer.
2. The printer's driver is configured to open the cash drawer at the start or end of any printout.
PS: Some of the pos system contain command that tells the printer to open the cash drawer, but others don't. Without that, we should go to set by the printer and check to see what options are available within the printer's driver. Hope this would help.
