Scotch 800 Prescription Label Tape is a transparent acetate film tape that protects and enhances printed prescription labels. The clear film shields labels from abrasion, moisture, and smudging from commonly used liquids, helping important information stay readable.

The acrylic adhesive bonds well to most smooth surfaces, resists oozing, and unwinds easily for fast application by hand or with a dispenser. The film resists fading from sunlight and extended storage, so labels resist puckering, yellowing, and drying out.

1. Make sure the label and surface are clean, dry, and free of dust or oils.
2. Position the roll so the adhesive side faces the label, and load it into a dispenser if using one.
3. Anchor the tape at one edge of the label and smooth it down with light pressure.
4. Pull the tape across the full label, pressing as you go to avoid trapping air bubbles.
5. Cut or tear the tape at the far edge and rub the surface firmly to set the adhesive.
6. For L-clip closures, fold the tape over the package edge; the closure can later be broken with a fingernail for easy opening.
