Shurtape CP-83 Utility Grade Masking Tape is an economical crepe paper masking tape with a synthetic rubber-based adhesive for general purpose packaging, bundling, holding, splicing, tabbing and banding. It offers high adhesion, excellent quick stick and flexibility for use on a variety of surfaces.

The crepe paper backing tears cleanly by hand and conforms to curves and edges, while oil and water resistance helps the tape stay put in shop and warehouse environments. CP-83 is a smart everyday tape choice for packaging lines, maintenance carts, job sites and home workshops.

Specifications: 5 mil total thickness, 20 lbs/in tensile strength, 43 oz/in adhesion to stainless steel, 8% elongation, service temperature 50°F to 150°F, 3 in. core, 60 yd standard length, natural color. Meets ASTM D 6123/D 6123M-97 (2012), Type I. Manufactured in the USA.

Note: Not intended for exacting industrial masking, spray painting or oven baking applications. Country of Origin: United States.

1. Make sure the application surface is clean, dry and free of dust, grease, oil or other contaminants.
2. Allow the tape and surface to reach room temperature (above 50°F) before application.
3. Unwind the tape from the roll and apply it firmly to the surface, smoothing as you go to remove air pockets.
4. Press the tape down along its full length to activate the adhesive and ensure good contact.
5. Tear the tape cleanly by hand at the desired length, no dispenser or knife required.
6. Remove the tape by pulling it back on itself at a low angle to help minimize residue.
7. Store unused rolls in the original packaging in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and use within 12 months of shipment.
