The Newborn 720AL-DT is a professional 20 oz dual thrust sausage applicator designed for contractors working with a wide range of sealants and adhesives. A simple knob turn lets you switch between a 12:1 thrust ratio for standard materials and a 26:1 thrust ratio for thick, high-viscosity urethanes and structural adhesives.

The lightweight aluminum barrel accepts standard 20 oz foil sausage packs and rotates a full 360 degrees so you can keep the nozzle angled correctly through corners and tight spaces. A drip-free mechanism instantly stops material flow when the trigger is released, helping reduce waste and mess on the jobsite.

Built with a heat-treated drive rod, a self-puncturing cone (no pre-cutting needed), a starburst pressure release plate, an ergonomic Gator trigger, plus a built-in cutter and caulk plug. Weighs just 2.45 lbs for comfortable extended use.

Ideal for glazing, waterproofing, restoration, gutter sealing, and structural adhesive applications. Manufactured by Newborn Brothers Co., professional caulking tool makers since 1974.

    Application Instructions

    1. Load the sausage pack: Twist off the front nose cone and aluminum end cap. Insert a 20 oz foil sausage pack into the aluminum barrel.
    2. Install the self-puncture cone: Thread the self-puncturing cone onto the front of the barrel. The internal points will pierce the foil sausage automatically; no pre-cutting required.
    3. Select your thrust ratio: Turn the dual thrust knob to 12:1 for standard-viscosity sealants and fast bead delivery, or to 26:1 for thick, cold-weather, or high-viscosity adhesives.
    4. Advance the drive rod: Press the thumb release plate and slide the drive rod forward until the pusher disc contacts the back of the sausage pack.
    5. Cut the nozzle tip: Trim the cone nozzle at a 45-degree angle to your desired bead width. Use the built-in spout cutter for a clean cut.
    6. Apply the bead: Squeeze the Gator trigger with steady pressure. Use the 360-degree revolving barrel to keep the nozzle aligned through corners and changes in direction.
    7. Release pressure: When you finish a bead, press the starburst thumb release plate to immediately stop material flow and prevent drips.
    8. Store between uses: Insert the caulk plug into the nozzle to seal the sausage pack and prevent the material from curing in the tip.
    9. Clean the gun: Wipe excess sealant from the puncture cone, drive rod, and barrel after each use to keep the tool operating smoothly.
