This all-in-one PoE Ethernet + USB Hub HAT expansion board is a dedicated upgrade accessory for Raspberry Pi Zero series miniature development boards, fully compatible with Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and Zero W versions.
Integrating Power over Ethernet technology that complies with IEEE 802.3af industry standard, it can supply stable 5V 2.5A working power to the Raspberry Pi host through a PoE switch or PoE injector with only one RJ45 network cable, eliminating messy separate power wiring, which is extremely suitable for remote deployment, wall-mounted and embedded unattended projects.
Equipped with professional RTL8152B Ethernet control chip, the RJ45 network port supports automatic 10Mbps/100Mbps rate negotiation, delivering low-latency and anti-interference wired network access, effectively avoiding unstable wireless WiFi signal in complex equipment environments. Meanwhile, the onboard expanded USB 2.0 hub ports allow users to plug in USB flash disks, wireless adapters, USB cameras, relay modules and other peripherals, greatly expanding the limited external interface of the Pi Zero mainboard.
The HAT uses high-reliability pogo pin docking design to connect the bottom of Raspberry Pi Zero, reserving the top 40PIN GPIO header for stacking other sensor modules and expansion boards. The internal fully isolated switching power supply (SMPS) structure effectively prevents voltage surge and electromagnetic interference, protecting the core chip of the single-board computer for long-term continuous operation. It is automatically recognized by Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu and other mainstream Linux systems with zero driver installation, widely applied in home automation gateways, network servers, data collection terminals, retro game consoles and maker embedded development projects.
