Can I switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit?
To change between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), open the battery cover and toggle the °F/°C conversion switch.
Can I use the Giraffe thermometer on newborns?
The 3-in-1 Infrared Thermometer is intended for use on children 6 months and older, when used in ear or forehead mode by an adult. Always follow instructions and consult your pediatrician if you have any questions.
What kind of batteries does the Giraffe use and how do I replace them?
The Giraffe includes two AAA (1.5V) batteries. To replace them, slide off the battery cover and insert two AAA batteries, aligning the (+) and (-) symbols. Secure the battery cover back in place. Keep batteries out of reach of children.
How do I clean the Giraffe after each use?
Clean the casing and probe with a cotton swab moistened with warm water and neutral detergent. Keep the battery cover closed and do not immerse in water. To disinfect, wipe the casing and probe with a 70% isopropyl alcohol swab (3x) and air-dry.
Does the Giraffe have screen color indicators for low and high fever?
Yes. Backlit display uses green, orange, and red color indicators for quick assessment. See Temperature Readings section of user manual for guidance. When turned on, it displays last recorded temperature. Consult your pediatrician with questions.
