Do I need to calibrate this thermometer/hygrometer?
Your unit is ready to use right out of the box as it's factory calibrated. For peace of mind and optimal accuracy, you can check it every few months. Our sensors are built to be very reliable, so frequent calibration isn't necessary.
What if the probe wire gets chewed by my pet?
Don‘t worry. The probe wire is reinforced with a durable, bite-resistant outer layer. If it does get damaged, we offer after-sales repair services.
Can the screen be read clearly in total darkness?
Yes. The device is equipped with a soft backlight. Simply press the button briefly to illuminate the display, allowing you to check readings at night or in low-light conditions without disturbing your nocturnal pets.
Can it be used for other pets?
Yes, it can be used for various pets beyond reptiles. While it's specifically marketed for reptile terrariums, many customers use it for Small mammals (hamsters, guinea pigs); Amphibians (frogs, salamanders); Plant terrariums and greenhouses.
Is the product waterproof? Will it break if sprayed directly with water?
While it's a little water-resistant and sealed against moisture, we recommend avoiding direct, powerful jets or full submersion to ensure its long life.
