The Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 140mm Radiator is a 140 mm radiator for one 140 mm fan, 45 mm thick. It measures 186 x 144 x 45 mm and has seven G1/4 connections and M3 fan threads.

Full copper

Alphacool says the new NexXxoS radiators are the first to truly deserve the full copper attribute. Copper is used for all main parts: not only the fins and channels, but also the chambers are made from it. Alphacool's claim is that this brings a dramatic improvement in radiator performance, one where other radiators are left without a chance. In its view the material already gives an advantage over the competition, and the inner structure is up to par with the competition. Separated, the chambers give the coolant a clear direction, allowing high flow rates which improve the performance of the whole cooling loop. They are flat chambers too, and thanks to the reduced overall length of the heat exchanger they increase mounting flexibility.

Ports and mounting

Alphacool names versatile and easy mounting as one of the main points on which its research and development department focused. For fitting installation the chamber offers three possibilities on both inlet and outlet (not on the NexXxoS ST30). That way less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. Hence the radiator can even be installed in tight enclosures, where internal installation is otherwise not a possibility. On all UT60 and NexXxoS Monsta radiators a G1/4 screw plug allows easy de-aeration of the radiator and hassle-free vertical installation of the heat exchanger. That threaded opening can even be used for filling, e.g. in combination with a Fillport.

What the loop needs

The radiator has seven G1/4 connections: three on the inlet, three on the outlet and the de-aeration port. A loop uses two of them, so it takes two fittings, and the four screw plugs in the box close the rest. It takes one 140 mm fan, and the box holds four M3x30mm and four M3x35mm hexagon socket screws for it.

In this fan size the next thickness down is the NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 140mm Radiator and the next one up is the NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 140mm Radiator.

Notes

• Use the radiator only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. It adds that this can void the manufacturer's warranty as well.
