Where it is used

This extender is mainly useful where a G1/4 thread is hard to reach or sits too far in, for example a port set deep in a block or a reservoir.

The Eiszapfen series

Alphacool says its Eiszapfen Connector Series is the high-end execution of these tried-and-true connectors. By its account, every requirement you could have of a connector is met with this series: highflow, form, processing and color. It credits a refusal to compromise in development and production for what the series has been made into. Components are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, and Alphacool says either will fit excellently into any system.

Coating and O-rings

A special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface. Alphacool names two results: improving the longevity of the intense color, and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector now has the Alphacool logo, which along with their distinctive shape makes them unmistakable. Anyone looking for colorful options has them, because the O-rings in the shipment come in three colors. With the available UV-light option, Alphacool says these will even light up in the corresponding color.

What the loop needs

The male side screws into any G1/4 port, and the female side takes any G1/4 fitting.

Notes

• Use it only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, and that this can void the manufacturer's warranty.
