Tips
1. Magnetic lock does not work through metal surfaces.
The lock can be affected by any iron or metal inside the cabinet door—things like screws, nails, or staples that you can't see from the outside. Before sticking the lock in place, hold it (with the adhesive still covered) and move it around the inside of the door while the lock is in the locked position. If the lock does not pop up, it means it has detected ferrous metal behind the surface. Simply move it to a different spot until it pops up properly—that's where you'll want to install it.
2. Clean the surface before installation.
How well the adhesive sticks depends largely on the condition of your cabinet surface. Make sure the area is clean and free of any oils, dust, or furniture wax. Keep in mind that adhesive tape may not stick well to certain surfaces—especially old peeling layers of paint or rough finishes.
3.Keep the magnetic key out of reach of small children.
